Dit boek bevat de verhalen van binnenuit van jonge makers en hun begeleiders, die al doende de weerbarstige, fascinerende, hartverwarmende, maar ook vaak frustrerende praktijk van community arts en het daarbij behorende kunstondernemerschap proberen te ontdekken.
De voornaamste reden om deze ervaringen op te tekenen is de absentie van een gedegen praktische of theoretische opleiding tot community kunstenaar in ons land. Voor zo’n opleiding zouden de met vallen en opstaan verkregen inzichten uit Leven met verschillen van nut kunnen zijn. Het boek bevat tevens een hoofdstuk over de cultuurhistorische wortels van community arts.

Mapping Intermediality in Performance traces the multiple interrelationships and transformational interplays between digital media and the performance arts. The book approaches these movement through five portals: performativity and the body; time and space; digital culture and posthumanism; networks; pedagogy and praxis. These portals in turn provide access to a range of related nodes: modes of experience, dimensions, actuality-virtuality and interrelations. These nodes are clusters of theoretical key concepts and 'instances' of praxis; the practices range from internationally operating companies, makers and events (The Builders Association, Castelluci, Castorg, Gob Squad, Lepage, Second Life and VJing) to insiders' perspectives based on practice-based research.

Wat doet een theaterdramaturg? Wat heeft een regisseur aan een theaterdramaturg? En wat kan een theaterdramaturg voor een theatergroep betekenen? Ook al is de emancipatie van de theaterdramaturg in onze regionen een feit, het vak roept nog steeds vele vragen op. Is de theaterdramaturg een kritische intellectueel die van buitenaf tegen het werk aankijkt of een steunpilaar van de regisseur, een echte partner in crime?
Bart Dieho zet in Een voordurend gesprek vele zaken rond de theaterdramaturg op 'n rijtje en brengt zo de veelzijdigheid en de complexiteit van de dramaturgische praktijk in kaart. Deze bundel verschijnt in de reeks Lectoraat Theatrale maakprocessen in samenwerking met de HKU.
