MA CTDS / Study Program

WORK PLACEMENT
Depending on your personal study plan, you may choose a practical work placement in theatre/dance dramaturgy or an academic work or practical work placement in the area of programming, policy or education. In the first case you proceed with a seminar and final paper. In the second option you will proceed with a tutorial and a Master's Thesis. Although it is possible to complete work placements abroad, bear in mind that this will require timely planning and extra organization.

MASTER'S THESIS / FINAL PAPER
You finalize your MA degree programme by writing a Master's Thesis. The Master's Thesis is an academic report in which you make an independent contribution to theatre or dance studies research. The report is based on a research question that is answered by your response on your own research.
If you choose to specialize in theatre or dance dramaturgy, the thesis reflects upon the professional practice of dramatic composition and your own position in it.
