PhD Colloquium in Theatre Studies
The departments of Theatre Studies at Utrecht University and the University of Amsterdam jointly organize an interdisciplinary research colloquium that brings together researchers investigating theatre, performance, dance, and theatricality in a broad sense. The aim of this initiative is multiple: bringing together current know-how in the terrain of theatre, performance, and dance studies; training young researchers; discussing theories and connecting them to individual research interests; presenting and discussing PhD-projects; encouraging interdisciplinary investigation; providing a meeting place for researchers; and, last but not least, developing a profile of the state of theatre studies.
The colloquium takes place alternately in Amsterdam and Utrecht. Apart from PhD-candidates (and those aspiring to become one), other researchers and lecturers in theatre, and in neighboring disciplines, are welcome to join!
