Konstantina Georgelou

 

Konstantina Georgelou is currently a PhD student at the department of Theatre Studies with a scholarship from the Alexander S.Onassis Public Benefit Foundation. She studied psychology, philosophy and education at the University of Athens (Greece) and continued her postgraduate studies (MA) in Arts Criticism and Arts Management at City University of London. In 2005 she moved to Holland, where she completed the Research Master in Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam.
Since 2003 she has worked as a dramaturge and artistic coordinator for Quasi Stellar theatre-dance Company in Greece. She also occasionally performs. She was an assistant-choreographer for the opening ceremony of the Par-Olympic Games 2004. She writes about dance and performance for Highlights magazine and she is the co-editor of PerformART Page online magazine. Since 2008 she has been an external collaborator of Kalamata Dance Festival in Research and Programming.
